Le rendez-vous des dirigeants de l'économie sociale
"Globalisation for the benefit of all" is the ambition of cooperatives, mutuals, associations and foundations and therefore the whole of the social economy. This is the meaning of the Mont Blanc Declaration launched by the leaders of the social economy who had come from all continents.
In effect, the social economy is present in all areas of the globe, both North and South, in countries looking for growth, countries in full development and countries considered as industrialised. Responding to the ever-increasing needs of citizens in all areas of activity, it works with demanding criteria: those of democracy, chosen collective property, the fair sharing of profits and, of course, solidarity.
All reference points preparing a concrete path for the sustainable human and environmental development of the planet.
It is time for cooperatives, mutuals, associations and foundations to speak out together on globalisation to show that, in a pluralist conception of the term, there exists another way of organising agriculture, fishing, industrial production and services, distribution and consumption... More attentive to the real expectations of populations and finally more efficient in social, civic, environmental and economic terms. A simply more social way of providing answers, which are both local and global, to the challenges of the 21st century.
We are calling on you to sign this international declaration to work with the social economy to put people at the heart of globalisation!
